Mac All About Orange Lipsticks| Flamingo, Razzledazzler and Sushi Kiss

I have to confess that I have an obsession for lipsticks no matter what brand or colour I just love them!! I think it is one of the best make up products that just light up your face!
Recently Mac launched their All About Orange Collection and oh boy was I excited! I love orange lipsticks and since I have been hooked on Mac lipsticks recently I had to get my hands on some of them.
This collection from Mac has 7 lipsticks ranging from light peaches to neon oranges. Since I already have quite a bit of orange lipsticks in my collection I thought it would be wiser to get the neutral shades because Mac lipsticks can be a bit heavy on the wallet.

(L-R) Flamingo,Razzledazzler,Sushi Kiss

So here I have and in love with three gorgeous shades from the Mac All About Orange Collection and they are  Flamingo, Razzledazzler and Sushi Kiss.

(L-R) Flamingo,Razzledazzler,Sushi Kiss

Flamingo is the pinkest of the lipsticks in the whole collection and is a lustre finish. It is gorgeous creamy pink colour with some hint of coral somewhere hidden in it. If you are not the orange/coral fan then this suits the best! Its creamy and applies smoothly. On me it looked like a perfect pinky nude shade that made me look healthy and give that really nice glow! The good thing about them is that the colour can be built up as one likes!

Razzledazzler is also a lustre finish therefore it is glossy. It definitely has more peachy tone to it and I am wearing it as I am writing about it. I feel it very hydrating like all the lustre finish lipsticks. It can be worn as a gorgeous nude colour that gives a hint of peaches and looks oh-so-natural. I just love it!

Sushi Kiss was more of like- should I or should I not lipstick. But since it was a Satin finish which I prefer of all the other finishes from Mac, and also since it was raved about so much I went with the decision of getting it! And I am so pleased I did so. Its super opaque, pigmented and stands out so much. It is so unique to any of the lipsticks that I own. Its described as a mid tone coral and yes it does give that hint of orange mix with coral. I don't know why but all I can think of when wearing is a Salmon Sushi..lol..!!But yeah it is gorgeous and I will treasure it forever!!

So those were my picks from the Mac All About Orange collection. What is yours?

OMG...Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm!!

Believe it or not the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm had been on my wish list for I don't know how long! I had heard nothing but amazing reviews about it. So when I did actually thought of getting one myself...it was out of stock on every single website! ARRR...really annoying!!

Finally Space NK had brought it back in stock so I had to dive in! It cost me £34.00 and free P&P which I think is a bit on the expensive side as it is only 100 ml. However, I made the plunge and I am just so happy I did.

Starting off, the bottle looks way smaller than I had seen on You tube video reviews or the website, maybe it was a different size I'm not sure. Anyway, I had to use the product straight away to just see what the hype was all about.

It is true that a little goes a long way as just a little bit of the balm, mixed with few drops of warm water is required for the whole face. The texture feels  really good. This is the first ever cleansing balm that I have ever used and I just enjoyed it. However, I did not really like the fact that I had to dip my fingers into the bottle every time I had to use it, maybe because I am used to using cleansing products from tubes or bottles with pumps. Also, it did not come with a muslin cloth so I had to use my own, which I think is a bit unfair for the price it is!

However, it smells amazing, calming and soothing. Enriched with  Moringa seeds, Wild sea fennel and Vitamin E, it really helps to break down the make up and leave a clean and soft skin. You can really feel the difference when using gel cleansing products and this balm cleanser! Just mix a little of the cleansing balm with a few drops of water, massage it on the face and neck area, then just use a muslin cloth to wipe it all off. Simple, job done! Afterwards, I use cold water to wash my face. It does make my face feel plumper, healthier and clean!

Especially if you use heavy make up or in a regular basis I would definitely recommend this product! Also it is suitable for anyone who would like to use this just as a cleansing product in their skin care routine like me!

Since I bought it from Space NK I also received two free samples of Eve Lom Moisture Mask and Living Proof full thickening hair cream. I haven't tried them yet but I surely will and review about them!

For now, my verdict on the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is : a brilliant product worth buying!! So go ahead and try it out .!Here is the link to Space NK page for this product:

My Monthly Favourites | May

I cant believe that the month of May just flew by! Omg time is something that never waits for anyone! So end of the month means....time to write down about my favourite products for May.

Beginning with Bioderma.. Now what can I say more about this wonderful product..it is so good that I had a previous blog post just about it! Its is so water like and so light that it is not harsh at all. It does not feel like Omg I am using so much of product on my face to remove my make up, because it is not oily at all like other make up removing products. Since I don't wear make up everyday, I still do use it in like daily basis like one a day to cleanse my face before applying the toner. It is definitely worth the hype and I love it!!

Bourjois Bronzing powder has been a massive hit among all beauty gurus and make up lovers...Its just that I never had the courage to pick one up and try! You see the thing with Asians..well I believe, we prefer to stay away from tanning, bronzing and spending hours under the sun! I don't know if its for everybody but it sure is for me! However living in London for more than 2 years has made me pale enough to think that maybe...a bronzer would help me get a healthy glow...and this bronzing powder exactly does that!

Now I have always hated the idea of using dry shampoos. I just couldn't deal with the fact that why not just get a shower rather than spend time using dry shampoos! But since I have had a fringe a dry shampoo has been necessity. Firstly I cannot wash my hair everyday as it is so thin and I do have quite a hair fall problem. and since getting genetically super fine hair, the fringe gets limp so fast. So the Batiste Dry Shampoo has become my friend in need! This does the trick! I get instant refreshed hair though I do get some white bits first most probably because I have dark hair, but which can be easily blended. The smell is also quite refreshing however, its starts smelling like coconut oil later on which I am not much fan of!

Now believe it or not but this is my first make up product from TOPSHOP. It is the Topshop Glow, which is a bronzy golden highlighter. It is very creamy and comes in a tiny glass pot. It is very pigmented and thus a little is enough to highlight parts of the face like cheek bones, nose area or under the eyebrows. I got it in the shade Polished, but I do think that they have it in another shade as well!

Where do I even begin with Lush's Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter ! Omg this product is soooooooo good! When I went to Lush asking for a hand cream, I ended up not liking any of their hand cream products until this one grabbed my attention! Though it says cuticle, I use it for my hands ad even my lips! As the name suggests it is so citrus-y that I just love it! Honestly if you are a fan of the Soap & Glory lime body wash then you can imagine this as the solid cream! Its is just fabulous! Its think and leaves my hands feeling soft and nourished!!

The compact powder from Body Shop has been so useful all this month because as the temperature is rising this is just perfect to hide away all the oily bits on my face! I really like the packaging and it really blends well! I carry it all the time and when I dont have any makeup on, I just dab this on and  I am good to go! I have it in the shade 06.

Now who does not like fruity, citrus-y smells right! In summer they are just perfect! Now Body Shop's Body Mists are to die for! They are so good that I always have to have one in my handbag, especially the Strawberry one, and if you are not fan of strawberries then there is always another option for you...! They come in different flavours/ scents and a little spritz is enough to refresh your senses and give you the perfect scent for summer!

I know that everybody loves Primark, including me, and why wouldn't we right! They have things that one can buy so cheap and still use it in everyday routine! Like for me, their headband is just perfect to protect my fringe from getting wet or to avoid any creams and make up! Its is like I think £1.50-£3.00, which is like next to nothing! Its from their Love to Lounge section! It is so useful, big and chunky enough to hold my hair. Its pink as well... which  I think every girl needs to have one!

Have I told you guys that I love love love lipsticks?? Well if I haven't then let me tell it one more time..I love lipsticks! And this month its Revlon's Fire and Ice! The name it self suggest some sultry gorgeous red right! Well it is! This one however is an orange or yellow tone based which I believe suits more like brown skin tones like mine! But if you are looking to try some red lipstick then do give this one a try since its rich pigmented and very moisturising!

Last but not the least how can I not mention my favourite moisturiser from Origins. If you don't know it yet then let me tell you that it is the Origins Make a Difference+ Rejuvenating Moisturiser. This just absolutely fabulous. I have done a previous blog post on it but I will day it again this is the best moisturiser ever and I just love it. It is so hydrating that I don't have any dry patches any more and the smell...its just brilliant. Its light and smells like peaches and fruits that just brings a big smile on my face!

I just enjoys using all the products mentioned above and I have tried my best to give my honest opinion about them. I do highly recommend each one of them and I hope you guys give them a try as well!

Well what are you favourites for May??

My Daily Skin Care Routine

Skin care is a very important part of my daily routine, and I believe it is not just mine. Its sad that gone are those days when my skin didn't need as much pampering as it does now, for I am no longer in my teen years.
But skin care is something I am fond of and why shouldn't I be, for it is what makes me feel beautiful, smart and yet ready for another day!I stick with the basics, Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising, and have bits and bobs to add a few!

I start off my skin care routine with Clinique Liquid Facial Wash Mild 2 for Combination Skin. For me this face wash is perfect as it does what it says. Its mild and helps clean intensely. It is foamy and a little goes a long way.

I have currently been hooked to hot cloth cleanser and its from No7 to be precise. It is a massive bottle with a creamy cleanser that comes with a muslin cloth. The muslin cloth is around a size of a handkerchief and exfoliates well. However, I do not use this on a daily basis but around like 3-4 days in a week, depending on my work schedule. I prefer to use it while having shower because the steam from the shower helps to exfoliate even more!

I think that people give more importance to the cleansing and the moisturising bit of skin care yet not much to the toning part. But I think that toning is as important as the other two. I have been enjoying the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 for quite sometime now and Oh dear it is wonderrrful! Just few drops on a cotton pad is enough to tone my face and do that extra bit of exfoliation to give a healthy glow to my skin! For anybody who is looking to add toners to their routine, I would definitely recommend this one!

Now time to talk about the most current love of my life, lol, my moisturiser and yes, if you have read my former blogs then you have guessed it right. It is the Origins Make A Difference+  Rejuvenating Moisturising Cream. That name is quite a handful but believe me it works wonders! I no longer have to deal with dry patches or flaky skin near my nose and mouth areas. Now I can happily apply my CC Creams without having to go through the trouble of applying layers and layers of thick moisturisers! I don't even know where to begin, I thinks its the sweet smell or must I say the scent that is just perfect or the texture that easily melts into the skin leaving it soft and supply. Everything is just so good about this moisturiser. The only thing is that they are a bit on the pricy range, but for such a good product, I would not mind spending a little more than usual!

Well these are the daily basic products that I use , but I must say that there are a few other products that I like to keep near by for that extra bit of pampering. Starting with the Origins Hydrating 10 minute mask that is just so hydrating that I love it to bits! I use this like once a week where I like to pamper myself. The smell is just marvellous and oh so perfect for spring/summer. It leaves the skin feeling cool and enriched with all the essentials for a hydrating skin. Jammed packed with apricot oil, this mask is deliciously perfect!

There are times however when my skin has those dull days and those annoying little spots come creeping in. But my little wand of the tube of Dead Sea Spa Magik Spot on Gel is there for the rescue. Though the smell can be a bit funny, it works wonders. I layer the tiny spots with this gel and straight away I can feel it working. I like to keep it safe and sound in my make up bag so that I am always ready to fight back the annoying spots!

Last but not the least I think Sudocream deserves an honourable position in my skin care routine. I think that one must always have an antiseptic cream in their drawers as they come in so handy. For me who suffers from skin rashes, this antiseptic creams is fabulous. So whether its small cuts and bruises or any of that sort, this cream is the one to have! I would also recommend this to anyone who have their tattoos done and go through the weeping phase, this definitely helps to calm the scaring and heal the tattoos better! Trust me, I've experienced it!

So that's my skin care routine..what's yours??

Confessions of a Brogue-Oh-Holic!!

Every time I see any brogues or brogue styled shoes in any store, it tempts me so much that I feel like its crying out to me saying 'Take me I'm yours'... Lol that sounds very funny but its true, I love brogues!!

There is something about the design of these shoes that is just so attractive! Its elegant, sturdy and survives every minute changing weather here in London.

According to Google brogues are a style of low-heeled shoe or boot traditionally characterized by multiple-piece, sturdy leather uppers with decorative perforations (or "broguing") and serration along the pieces' visible edges. They originated from Scotland and Ireland and were used as outdoor shoes.

However, now brogues have become a style statement giving a hint of elegance and smartness. It definitely can be dressed up or down according to one's need. I know that the original brogues can be a bit heavy on the wallet but now all high street stores have them, in much better price, at least for me! Thats where I get mine from and now have quite a few!

My favourite one, and the one that I have used the most has to be this black ankle length one from Office (shoe store). Its pure leather and I have had this for more than 2 years now. Its really strong, sturdy and since its black I wear it with most of my outfits. It is a bit boyish style, which is what I love about it the most! At the beginning the leather was a bit hard but now after using them for so long they have become soft and light. Its just perfect and I love it!

This one is from Office as well. As you can see it has quite a bit of heel giving it a more feminine look ,which can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable to use. However I love the colour combination and it looks so elegant when worn. I love the colour block as they are more of neutral tones, its really easy to combine with my outfits!

Now this one is a bit of a funky one! Its a brogue with a twist. Its a dark brown with leopard prints and  I just love leopard prints or any other animal prints of that matter. And to find a brogue with my favourite print was a must have. Its funny that this one is from Office as well. Maybe its the store to find and buy nice Brogues. I would definitely recommend to check their collection if anyone is interested!

This one is just a brogue style shoe/sandal, that I like to group it in my brogue collection. Its the brogue style that makes it so pretty and attracted me to buy this one! This one is lovely in the summer. Its light, airy and looks good with trousers and dresses. I have worn them so much that they have started to worn out. I got them like more than a year ago from New Look. They are girl-y, stylish and pretty!

The last one on my list is my newest addition to my collection. This one is from Bertie. Its navy suede and patent leather. How cool are navy shoes! Its just an elegant classic colour and the structure is perfect for my tiny feet. Its so comfortable and light weight that I am always tempted to buy more!

My love for Brogues is growing and I know that I will surely be adding some more! For anybody living in London, I think this is the perfect type of shoes that one can enjoy wearing yet look elegant without having to put much effort. With help of some good polish and brushes its quite easy to maintain them as well.

Thats my growing Brogue collection, can't wait to see which style and shape will attract me next and soon be added to my Brogues list!!
